My Dream Studio

I came up with the idea from this post by reading a post by Nora on Nora's Blog and thought of what a good idea it was - to describe what my ultimate creative space would be. I've often thought about it, but rarely share it with people.

I always dreamed that my studio would be in the attic of a house that was built 50 or 60 years ago with doorways (the kinds with no doors) that are arched. I don't know if I'd still keep it in the attic because attics usually are hard to heat and cool, but this was when I was into painting and drawing (still am). With my shift to graphic design, I'd probably move down into a better insulated part of the house...hehe.

Anyways, There'd be a fun old table that would be my desk. I'd have my laptop, a laser printer (still in my dreams) and some sketchbooks, pencils, pens and colored pencils, all neatly organized in jars. I'd have a separate table for scoring and cutting and folding cards which would have drawers underneath to house my paper and rulers and envelopes and labels and packaging supplies. There'd be a nice big window that all the natural light would come through and another little table which I would use to photograph all of my items for displaying on etsy.

Can you just imagine what you could do if you had a creative space all to yourself? I think I'd be much more productive.

What would your creative space look like? If you write a blog entry about it, come back to my blog and post the link to yours so we can see where everyone would like to work! :)
